Since its beginnings it has been characterized as a pioneer farm in establishing and developing new crops with modern production techniques and focused on sustainability. It covers an area of 1500 hectares and over the past 50 years it has evolved in its export products. Currently it produces: Natural Rubber, Coffee, Macadamia Nut, Mangosteen, Hass Avocado, Bee Honey, Bamboo and Quinine. These have been established as suitable crops for our climatic and environmental conditions. All agricultural work is characterized by its adherence to good agricultural practices and to matching standards demanded by international certifications such as Rainforest Alliance and Forest Stewardship Council.
Agropecuaria Atitlán from the start implemented an extensive program of Corporate Social Responsibility, focused mainly on areas of health and education. It has been widely supportive in developing educational opportunities in neighboring communities and it has a formal medical clinic for all its employees. Finca Panama is a member of the Association of Private Nature Reserves of Guatemala and is committed to maintaining and conserving protected areas in their natural state.
